Products

For over 60 years, SPECO has worked aggressively to maintain high quality products at low prices for you, our valued customers.  SPECO is known world-wide for its durable, capable, and cost-effective products in the film production and exhibition industries.

SPECO has not had an across the board price increase since 1993
- over thirteen years - but recent developments in material, labor, and transportation costs have forced us to implement price increases.  For instance, the GFMS base metals index, which measures the raw materials aluminum, copper, lead, nickel, tin and zinc has increased over the last 5 years by 313%.  Copper at one point reached such a premium, even for copper scrap prices, that many newspapers around the country were filled with stories about thefts of statues, electrical wire from live electrical substations and constructions sites.  Not to mention the all-too-familiar price at the pump.

According to industry experts, these price spikes are due to greatly increased demand from developing countries, such as China and India, and will continue to trend upward for the foreseeable future.

As a leader in our industry, SPECO strives to invest in new manufacturing equipment and efficiency techniques.  These efforts toward continued improvements help to offset some of the cost spikes in raw materials.  Though we continue to absorb most of this inflationary pressure, we must pass along some of the increased cost of manufacturing to our customers.  Therefore, the following new price list will go into effect on March 15, 2007.

We thank you for your business and understanding.

Sincerely,

SPECO
